Development Lead (India and International)

Position Summary:
The incumbent will lead outreach, fundraising, grant management and reporting for Foundations (India based and international). They will be an integral part of the fundraising team and be responsible for a full-cycle of donor management to help forge new long-term partnerships.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prospect relevant domestic and international foundations and other relevant organizations aligned with our mission and develop strategic proposals for long-term partnership.
• Oversee current and new grant management including field visits, due diligence and reporting.
• Work with internal program teams to collate, validate data and prepare various formats of communication for funding partners and potential donors.
  

An ideal candidate qualifications:

• Graduate with at least 8-12 years of demonstrated fundraising, donor prospecting and management experience in the non-profit sector. Prior experience in the education sector is desirable.
• Proficient in grant writing, fund development and strategic planning for organizational priorities. Specializes in developing grant proposals and leverages partnerships for resource optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing robust partnerships with philanthropic entities contributing to sustainable development of grant portfolios.
• Experienced in executing fundraising campaigns for strategic organizational initiatives via unrestricted funding streams.
• Proficient in curating programmatic documents such as impact reports and proposals with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, biased towards action, and has succinct verbal and written communications skills.
• An individual with a high emotional quotient skilled in in-person interactions with various stakeholders including funding partners, government partners and student beneficiaries.
• Considered an expert in MS Office and presentations.
• An individual with a high degree of ownership, reliable, adaptable, agile, a fast-learner, and is skilled at sharing/taking constructive feedback.

Salary: Details would be discussed during 1-1 interactions.

Location: India based fully remote with periodic domestic travel.

Reporting structure: They will report into the Director of Fundraising and Communications and work very closely with the co-CEOs. There will also be extensive cross-functional interaction for donor reporting.
