Job Description:
Senior Program Manager- JNV Team, Avanti Fellows
Position Summary:
Program Manager, will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of JNV Program. The Program Manager will be building a collaborative learning environment, driving improvement in student learning outcomes, and helping the team members get better at their roles.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Administration
● Ensure smooth implementation of the program across elements.
● Work proactively keeping in mind expansion targets.
● Petty cash and expense management.
● Vendor follow up and invoicing/payments.
● Logistics (office and external).
Team Management and Recruitment
● Train the team on ideal stakeholder relationships, classroom facilitation, mentoring and
adherence to processes for effective implementation of the program.
● Elaborate 360 degree performance appraisal of the team.
Program Implementation and M&E
● Develop systems to collect the data on students behavior and performance regularly and use it
effectively to prioritize the elements of the program.
Budgeting and Expense Management
● Create a budget for the year based on the expenses on different heads and ensure the
implementation of the same.
● Be alert on day to day expenses of the program and ensure its adherence with budget and
company policy.
● Whenever required, reach out to donors to raise additional funding.
Documentation and reporting
● Weekly, Monthly and quarterly reports.
● Make program impact reports.
● Capture success stories and learning from operations of the program.
Stakeholder management
● Work with Navoday Samithi officials to get necessary approvals for smooth implementation of
the program in schools.
● Maintain good relationships with school Principals to ensure smooth implementation of the
program through regular meetings and submitting required reports.
● Maintain relationships with the donors by providing regular updates and submitting required
reports.
● Prepare reports periodically analyzing the progress of the students and share with all the
stakeholders.
New Partnerships:
● Take initiative in new partnerships to help implement the program smoothly and expand the
program when possible.
Requirements
Education: Graduate/Post Graduate with Science Background (BSc/MSc/B.Tech/M.Tech), Management degree would be a plus.
Experience:
● Overall project management and stakeholder management experience
● Experience in the education or EdTech industry
● Previous experience of working with district or state level education officers is a plus.
Skills:
● Effective communication skills, both spoken and written
● Strong problem solving ability and Data Interpretation skill.
● Interpersonal skills, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills
● Basic proficiency in using computer software and a laptop with uninterrupted internet connection and a minimum upload speed of 2 MBPS.
Personality traits:
● Deeply care about education and have empathy towards students from low-income backgrounds, their teachers and their parents.
● Ability to connect with, inspire and motivate students.
● Passion for working in the Education Sector and government officials.
Salary: Commensurate as per your skills and experience.
Location: Hybrid (Includes periodic site visits).
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Program Head.
