Finance Manager

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at Smart Auto Systems a SaaS company specializing in global subscription-based sales. This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least two years of experience who possesses a deep understanding of Ind AS, direct and indirect taxation, reconciliations, and financial operations in a global business environment.

Role & responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Prepare, analyse, and present accurate financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ensure compliance with global financial regulations and reporting standards.

Taxation:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of direct and indirect taxation, including GST, and other applicable taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with tax advisors and other consultants to ensure timely filing and compliance with tax regulations in different regions.

Revenue Management:

• Oversee subscription-based revenue recognition and ensure accurate invoicing and revenue reporting.
• Monitor deferred revenue accounts with different Subscription Periods and ensure accurate revenue is reported into various MIS Reports and Financials.

Reconciliations and Controls:

• Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Maintain strong internal controls to ensure data accuracy and prevent financial discrepancies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in creating and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with sales, Support, product, and operations teams to provide financial insights and ensure alignment of financial goals with business strategies.
• Coordinate with Statutory Auditors to close the Year end Audit and various other Assignments

Preferred candidate profile

Education and Certification:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience in SaaS or subscription-based revenue models is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge on Ind AS
• Proficiency in managing direct and indirect taxation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Expertise in reconciliations and financial controls.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software such as Zoho books, Zoho Subscriptions and ERP.
