Role Description :
This is a full-time on-site role for a SOC Manager at Aujas Cybersecurity in Bengaluru.
The SOC Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center, managing incident response, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities :
- Manage SOC analysts and their activities, including threat hunting, incident response, and security monitoring.
- Monitor security alerts and events, analyze threat intelligence, and investigate security incidents.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SOC operations.
- Ensure the effective utilization of security tools and technologies.
- Develop and implement incident response plans.
- Lead incident response investigations, coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate incident response documentation.
- Implement and maintain security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Manage security projects and initiatives.
- Stay abreast of relevant cybersecurity regulations and industry best practices (ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
- Ensure compliance with internal and external security audits.
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior SOC analysts.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Recruit and onboard new SOC analysts.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including senior management, IT teams, and business units.
- Collaborate with other security teams, such as threat intelligence and penetration testing teams.
- Research and evaluate new security technologies and trends.
- Attend industry conferences and training sessions to maintain expertise.
Qualifications :
- 10+ years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) management.
- Proven experience in incident response and security investigations.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001).
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
- Experience with threat intelligence analysis and threat hunting techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Leadership and mentoring experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or others are a plus
