Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Portal Developer to design, implement, and enhance ServiceNow-based self-service portals and integrate them with the ServiceNow CMS (Content Management System). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in UI development , ServiceNow Service Portal , and CMS Integration . You will be responsible for building intuitive, user-friendly portals and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, integrated digital experiences for internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ServiceNow Portal Development:
    • Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow Service Portals to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for end users.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and create tailored portal experiences.
    • Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS (or other web technologies) to implement customizations within the ServiceNow platform.
  • UI/UX Design:
    • Work closely with UX/UI designers to create responsive, visually appealing portal interfaces.
    • Ensure the portal interfaces are intuitive and provide a smooth user experience across multiple devices and screen sizes.
  • CMS Integration:
    • Design and implement CMS-based solutions in ServiceNow, ensuring seamless integration of content with the Service Portal.
    • Integrate knowledge articles, catalog items, and other ServiceNow content into the portal.
    • Configure CMS pages and manage content lifecycle (creation, publication, archiving) within ServiceNow.
  • ServiceNow Configuration and Customization:
    • Develop and customize ServiceNow Catalog Items, Knowledge Management, and other ServiceNow modules to integrate seamlessly into the Service Portal.
    • Work with ServiceNow s Out-of-the-Box widgets, and build new widgets as required to extend portal functionality.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Coordinate with business analysts, architects, and developers to ensure portal requirements and functionality align with organizational goals.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for portal-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Optimize ServiceNow portal performance and page load times, ensuring portals are fast and responsive.
    • Regularly monitor and improve portal performance through best practices in UI design and coding standards.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Perform rigorous testing of portal pages and integrations to ensure they meet functional and design requirements.
    • Collaborate with QA teams to address bugs, glitches, and user experience improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with ServiceNow product updates, UI/UX trends, and best practices to continuously enhance the portal functionality and user experience.
    • Provide recommendations for new features and improvements based on user feedback and industry trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience as a Lead-ServiceNow Portal Developer or a similar role.
    • Expertise in developing and customizing ServiceNow Service Portals , including CMS integration .
    • Solid understanding of ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Change, Request Management, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog.
    • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow widgets and UI customization using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, and other modern web technologies.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow CMS (Content Management System) and how to integrate it with ServiceNow portals.
    • Experience with REST APIs , SOAP web services , and integrating third-party tools with ServiceNow portals.
    • Familiarity with ServiceNow Scripting (GlideScript, JavaScript) and customization tools like Flow Designer and Performance Analytics .
    • Knowledge of ServiceNows Now Experience Framework and portal widgets.
  • UI/UX Design:
    • Experience working with UI frameworks, responsive design principles, and modern frontend technologies.
    • Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and how to design user-friendly, intuitive interfaces.
  • Other Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve portal and CMS-related issues.
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work in an agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
  • Experience with ServiceNow UI Builder , Now Experience Framework , and Integration Hub .
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control tools (eg, Git)
