Battery Repurposing Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Production Manager to lead our battery refurbishment operations and establish a production line for refurbishing lithium-ion batteries. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the refurbishment process, from evaluating battery packs to coordinating production activities and ensuring quality control. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a production line for refurbishing lithium-ion batteries, from initial planning to full-scale operation.
• Establish and optimize production workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control measures to ensure efficient and consistent refurbishment processes.
• Manage a team of technicians and production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize performance and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, R&D, procurement, and logistics, to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the evaluation, disassembly, testing, and reassembly of battery packs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet production targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for production operations.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to battery refurbishment and sustainability initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and innovation within the production team, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and adherence to best practices.

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in lithium-ion battery solution, manufacturing, or related industry, with a proven track record of leadership and success in production management roles.
• Expertise in lithium-ion battery technology and chemistry, including knowledge of safety protocols, handling procedures, and industry best practices. Knowledge of refurbishment processes will be added advantage.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex projects from conception to completion.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve production efficiency and quality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments, inspire team members, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Commitment to safety, sustainability, and ethical business practices, with a passion for promoting environmental stewardship and driving positive social impact.
• Formal training /experience in TPM or Kaizen will be added advantage.
