Job Description:

• Install, configure, and support of IBM FileNet technology

1. Excellent knowledge in administering J2EE based application servers with WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, and WebSphere Portal
2. Strong Experience with web servers with IHS, Apache and IIS
3. Experience in supporting messaging-oriented middleware such as WebSphere MQ, WMB, and IIB
4. Experience in Informatica and Business Intelligence/Objects technologies
5. .NET platform familiarity
6. Experience with Unix, AIX, and Windows Operating Systems
7. Basic knowledge of networking
8. Have good exposure in Clusters, JMS, Virtual Hosts, JDBC, LDAP, auto-deployment, session replication, URL redirects, rewrite rules, http-plugins, etc.

Deploy code and program updates across development, QA, and Production environments

1. Able to troubleshoot based on documented guides as well as past experience
2. Able to troubleshoot and resolve new problems by extrapolating and making assumptions based on prior knowledge of related issues
3. Able to identify operational deficiencies and make recommendations/implement remediation
4. Able to define root cause and propose comprehensive remediation plan
5. Able to articulate technical knowledge to junior and/or non-technical staff in a precise and easy to understand manner
6. Technical certifications are a plus

• Knowledge of UNIX shell or Perl scripting. and database is a plus.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. The primary function of the Application Administrator is to implement, maintain, monitor and support production and non-production application landscapes hosted in the datacenter
2. Excellent team player with good communication skills
3. Administer and support customer n-tier applications
4. Support installation, configuration and troubleshooting web servers & application servers
5. Implement up to date security patches and remediate security vulnerabilities
6. Application code deployment and implementation
7. Good knowledge on ITIL practices and ITSM tools.
8. Present technical findings including future recommendations
9. Assist in defining engineering standards and ensuring standards are executed within the environment
10. Keep support document up-to-date
11. Proactively identify and automate the routine tasks or hand over to operations
12. Implement customer projects in a timely manner
13. Capacity planning
14. Performance tuning

• Automation of Middleware related activities.

Support level 1 & level 2 resources whenever required.

Excellent communication skills and customer-support focused attitude. Ability to handle user requests and closing them within given Service level agreement.

Customer-support focused attitude is a must.

Shift is based on Project requirement.
