Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Officer to join our Test Engineering team within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ICT (In-Circuit Test) and FCT (Functional Test) methodologies to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards before they are delivered to clients. The role will involve working on various test equipment and processes to troubleshoot and validate electronic assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution:
Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and strategies for both ICT and FCT for electronic assemblies.
Execute and validate in-circuit tests (ICT) to identify faults in the circuit, including soldering defects, component failures, and signal issues.
Conduct functional tests (FCT) to ensure the complete functionality of the product in real-world scenarios.
Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure testability in the early stages of product development.
Test Equipment & Setup:
Set up and configure test equipment for both ICT and FCT processes, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
Troubleshoot and maintain test systems, ensuring high uptime and efficient operations.
Ensure all test documentation, reports, and data are accurately recorded and stored.
Fault Diagnosis & Root Cause Analysis:
Perform detailed diagnostics on test failures and identify root causes for defects at both the component and system levels.
Work with engineering teams to define corrective actions and implement process improvements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and test coverage.
Test Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare detailed test reports, including failure analysis, test results, and suggested corrective actions.
Maintain and update testing documentation such as test procedures, work instructions, and test equipment specifications.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Production, Quality, and R&D) to address testing challenges and ensure seamless production flow.
Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders on test results and failure analysis.
Preferred candidate profile
3-8 years of experience in electronics testing, with a focus on ICT and FCT.
Experience with test equipment (e.g., ICT machines, functional testers, oscilloscopes, multimeters).
Familiarity with EMS processes and workflows in a production environment.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of electronics components and circuits.
Hands-on experience with test equipment, tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications.
Knowledge of industry-standard testing protocols and quality systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and test software tools.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Attributes:
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with automated testing systems (ICT and FCT) and test program development.
Experience with test software (LabVIEW, National Instruments, etc.) is a plus.
Understanding of environmental testing (e.g., thermal, vibration) is advantageous.
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
