Job Description
In this role as a Principal Engineer, you will report to the Head of Cloud Readiness Foundations and will be working across the enterprise cloud organization which serves the crucial functions for the whole company
- Collaborate with partners to get clarity on priorities, scheduling and scope of work
- Identify blockers, goals, success metrics ensuring awareness, OKR/roadmap awareness, and expectations
- Manage projects, process, partners and timelines
- Own the delivery of critical projects in a microservices environment
- Yearly/quarterly/sprint planning, and other Agile rituals
- Build an open, trusting, operationally mature culture
- Participate in hiring planning and other exercises
- Collaborate in technical/architectural discussions, provide direction, and drive decision-
Your background
- Strong technical expertise and 12+ years experience in designing/building enterprise grade solutions using microservices. Fluency in the current landscape (Java stack, Kotlin, Front end stack preferably React, Observability tools, and service operations).
- Passion for software engineering excellence (design principles and patterns, unit testing, performance engineering, best practices for security and privacy etc)
- Hands on Experience in cloud platform - AWS would be needed
- Exposure to Kubernetes
- Passion and aptitude for recognizing, raising, and reconciling gaps and redundant efforts across organizations
- Excellent collaboration, communication and leadership skills. Ability to get engineers to follow their lead as well as mentor/coach.
- High level of energy and a desire to thrive in a large, fast-paced organization; ability to balance multiple projects under pressure
- Strong hands on experience - lead by code as an example and a known passion for engineering velocityYour background
- Ability to converge with architects of diverse nature and align them on a common vision

- Significant experience in cell based architecture
- Previous experience having led teams through short and long term architecture approaches.
