Manager (Ship Candling & Supplies)

Role & responsibilities:

1. Responsible for handling and leading team of 20+ executives at all India branch offices centrally from Head Office.
2. Responsible for sourcing a wide range of marine supplies, from provisions to spare parts.
3. Responsible for handling enquiries and RFQs received from Ship owners, Masters and Managers.
4. Responsible for handling, negotiating and ensure that competitive quotations are submitted within the deadlines.
5. Responsible for building customer relationships from purchase order to delivery to ensure satisfaction.
6. Responsible for handling customer queries and resolving issues related to ship chandelling services.
7. Responsible for inventory management, on-time delivery, investigating order fulfilment, complaint resolution, and customer visits as necessary.
8. Responsible for coordinating with various departments to meet the needs of ships, including procurement, logistics, and supply chain.
9. Responsible for preparing reports on operations, sales, and inventory for management.
10. Responsible for marketing and new business development.
11. Responsible for sourcing new suppliers, negotiating on terms with the supplier and fixing contract.

Preferred candidate profile:

1. Candidate should be a minimum graduate in any filed.
2. Candidate should have excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
3. Candidate should have strong negotiation skills.
4. Candidate should have a in-dept knowledge & prior work experience of 4 to 8 years in ship candling services and ship supplies.
5. Candidates having a relevant certification in shipping will have an added advantage.
6. Candidate should possess a strong problem-solving and quick decision-making ability.
7. Candidate should have a proven experience to manage a team size of 20+ effectively.
