About the role:Athena is seeking an experienced professional, solution oriented driven Manager with a proven track-record of working with Consulting / International Development Industry.
The position will be working in the areas of Companys Finance & Accounts, MIS- profitability & budget management with an additional focus on Legal & Compliance (regulatory & secretarial), Project Management aspects (non-technical) including reporting, due diligence & compliance, Contract & Vendor Management, supporting Business Development Pricing, Procurement.
The person should reflect logical and analytical thinking, problem solving and the skills to present data which may aid decision management and inform organizational policies..
This position will report to the Finance Controller and will be instrumental in preparing/maintaining books of accounts, reviewing, setting up & implementing/streamlining processes and procedures, coordinating with different teams guiding on the best practices, strengthening of compliance, integration of advanced technologies and generate data-based reports.
The person will act as a focal point in taking up the new initiatives that enhances the performance of the team contributing to the timely implementation and success of those initiatives..
Core Job Responsibilities.
End to end responsibility for book-keeping, accounting, finalisation of accounts, auditing, compliance and contractual/legal requirements with an experience to prepare and manage consolidation of accounts including foreign subsidiaries and JVs..
Responsible for timely preparation & closure of books of accounts (monthly/quarterly & annual), preparing/maintaining/monitoring schedules and reporting in mandatory formats complying with the regulatory requirements, analysing variances and follow up on actionable items..
Managing cashflow/treasury operations including AR & AP management and oversee the business operations including budget management, profitability..
Adhering to statutory provisions and regulatory compliance & reporting requirements applicable for all the group entities in various geographies..
Ability to review and analyse large sets of data, timely dissemination of information and point out key improvement areas..
Ability to deal with cross country transactions and comply with the statutory requirements including Transfer Pricing regulations..
Ability to handle implementation of new initiatives including software migration and deliver on time..
Responsible for invoice preparation as per the contractual requirements including generation of e-invoices..
Support for MIS reporting (cashflow, project and organisational profitability, practice reports, IDC calculations etc) and preparation of other need-based reports..
Responsible/Assist for Annual Budgeting activity of the Company..
Liaise with the bankers for raising the fund based & non-fund-based borrowings or facilities..
Responsible for vetting/drafting of contracts- client or vendor or MOUs/ Teaming Agreements etc and handling legal matters..
Support in Bids/proposals, pricing/FP and work with other teams as necessary..
Others.
Database management- Accounts, Banking & other correspondence with various Authorities, and Companys contract documents & other relevant correspondence:.
Contract & Vendor Management.
Support in Procurement.
Employee joining and exit formalities..
Guiding the employees/company on tax planning and compliances..
Assist in administering the travel & expense policy of the Company..
Identify the essential areas for process improvement and address the same..

Qualifications And Experience.
Candidate should be a qualified finance professional with good data analytical & presentation skills.
Should be a pro in MS office including excel, PPT..
Work experience handling USAID/FCDO or other national/international donor and/or agency funded projects including the contractual & financial compliances, budget & contract management, invoicing, audit & due diligence is preferred..
Should have 8 years of related work experience at either.
