Position Overview:
Sunrise Glass Industries Private Limited; a division of Astron Group, is a leading glass manufacturer based in Surat, Gujarat. We are India’s fourth-largest container glass manufacturer, operating at a capacity of 650 MT per day. Our products include Flint wine bottles, food jars, sauce bottles, milk bottles, and water bottles. We have been recognized as the “Most Trusted Container Glass Manufacturer” by Worldwide Achievers.
Our clients include Pernod Ricard, Diageo India, Bacardi India, and we export to the USA, Poland, Europe, Spain, Italy, Canada, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Sri-Lanka and to all major African nations. We are also suppliers to brands like Sula and Fratelli. In the food segment, we supply jars and bottles to companies like Amul, Mahananda, and Nestle, Dabur India. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s objectives and enhance the corporate culture.
    • Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a productive work environment.

  1. Labor Relations and Compliance:
    • Manage relationships with trade unions, addressing grievances and negotiating effectively to prevent and resolve conflicts.
    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.

  1. Performance Management System (PMS):
    • Oversee the performance management system, establishing clear Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate employee performance.
    • Facilitate regular performance reviews and provide guidance for improvement.

  1. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract and retain top talent.
    • Develop and oversee reward and recognition programs that motivate employees.

  1. Talent Management:
    • Lead talent acquisition efforts to recruit skilled professionals aligned with company values and goals.
    • Implement talent development programs that support career progression and skill enhancement.

  1. Labor Welfare:
    • Advocate for and promote labour welfare initiatives that improve employee well-being and workplace conditions.
    • Monitor health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

  1. Training and Development:
    • Develop and oversee training programs that enhance employee skills and support organizational growth.
    • Identify training needs through performance evaluations and feedback mechanisms.

  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with local authorities, labour officers, and contractors to ensure compliance and address HR-related issues.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all HR matters.

  1. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, inform strategy, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on HR activities and initiatives to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with a strong background in corporate and manufacturing industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour laws, industrial relations, and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage performance management systems and talent development strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
