Legal Intern

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Drafting and Management:

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

2. Legal Compliance Management:

• Support compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and applicable laws, especially in the media, social media, and technology sectors.
• Assist in tracking compliance requirements and help minimize legal risks.

3. Legal Research:

• Conduct basic legal research on statutory laws, regulations, case law, and industry-specific topics.
• Assist with research on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, to help protect the company's assets.
• Prepare summaries of legal research findings and assist in presenting them.

5. General Legal Support:

• Assist in resolving legal issues, including working with external counsel or other departments.
• Help prepare internal legal reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Educational Background:

• Pursuing or recently completed an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree from a recognized law school.

Experience:

• 0-1 year of internship (preferably someone in their final years of law school) experience required, but an interest in legal drafting, research, compliance, and IPR is beneficial.
• A background or strong interest in the media, entertainment, or social media industry is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic drafting and written communication skills.
• A foundational understanding of contract law, compliance, and intellectual property rights.
• Ability to conduct legal research and summarize findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
• Interest in media laws, digital content, licensing, and IP issues is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
