Data Scientist

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, specializing in data engineering, data analysis, and visualization. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, playing a crucial role in the development of data solutions while evolving into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) over time. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex findings through compelling visualizations.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Engineering:
• Create and maintain complex SQL queries based on business needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of database structures and optimization.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and quality.
2. Data Analysis:
• Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define analytical objectives and provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights.
3. Analysis to Insights:
• Translate raw data into meaningful insights, using a combination of analytical skills and industry knowledge.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that showcase key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide a clear understanding of business metrics.
4. Insights to Action:
• Collaborate with business teams to interpret analytical findings and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and improvements based on data-driven insights.
5. Visualization Expertise:
• Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports using industry-leading visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Ensure data visualizations adhere to best practices, promoting effective communication and understanding.
6. Hands-On Development and SME:
• Actively participate in the development of data solutions, maintaining a hands-on approach to stay connected with evolving technologies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Healthcare data analytics over time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and data warehousing, with a preference for candidates with experience in healthcare.
• Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent programming skills, preferably in languages such as R, Python or SQL.
• Strong presentation, communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.
