Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training

College Engineering degree or/equivalent in Information Technology/ Computer technology.

Advanced Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training

Any basic Cyber Security Certifications

Minimum Experience

Minimum 3 Years in the relevant field

Specific / Relevant Experience

• Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
• Implement and maintain EDR solutions to monitor endpoint activities, detect threats, and respond to security incidents.
• Perform threat hunting activities to proactively search for and mitigate potential intrusions or hidden threats across all system.
• Manage secrurity technologies including Attack Surface Management, vulnerability scanners and other security tools to improve the organization's security strategy.
• Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM, EDR/Antivirus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, Email Security, database and operating system, endpoint security, etc
• Conduct continuous discovery, analysis, prioritization, remediation, and monitoring of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.Problem-solving skills and good communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor logs of EDR/AV and Email security, WAF, SIEM, etc and coordinate with internal teams for incident mitigation
• Work with vendors who are manages the Organizations managed security services SIEM/SOC, ASM, VA & PT, and other services and then internally coordinate with teams for mitigation activities
• Work with OEMs and Vendors for enhancing the Cyber Security posture of the organization by identifying technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.
