Cyber Security Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our security team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the organizations computer networks, hardware, and software against theft, damage, and unauthorized access. Your primary focus will include identifying vulnerabilities, addressing risks, and implementing solutions to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with best practices.
Key Responsibilities

• Incident Management: Document and analyse security breaches, assess the damage caused, and propose preventive measures.
  
• Vulnerability Assessment: Collaborate with the security team to conduct penetration testing and identify network vulnerabilities.
  
• Risk Mitigation: Fix identified vulnerabilities to uphold robust security standards.
  
• IT Security Trends: Stay up-to-date with current Information Technology (IT) security trends, threats, and best practices.
  
• Policy Development: Develop and implement company-wide IT security policies and protocols.
  
• Collaboration: Assist colleagues in installing security software and provide guidance on information security management practices.
  
• Monitoring & Testing: Perform regular penetration testing and monitor network activity to identify potential threats.
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar role.
  
• Proficiency in information security and related fields.
  
• Hands-on experience with network penetration testing and security assessment techniques.
  
• Strong understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus solutions, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS).
  
• Ability to identify, analyse, and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
  
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
