Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
a) Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
b) Monitor and manage project expenses to ensure they remain within approved budgets.
Measurement and Valuation:
a) Measure quantities of materials and ensure they align with project specifications.
b) Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and ensure timely valuations.
Tendering and Contract Management:
a) Review and evaluate tender documents, bids, and contractor proposals.
b) Assist in drafting and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Vendor Coordination and Negotiation:
a) Liaise with vendors and suppliers to source quality materials at competitive prices.
b) Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Reporting and Documentation:
a) Maintain accurate records of costs, variations, and project progress.
b) Provide detailed reports to stakeholders on project financials and timelines.
Compliance and Standards:
a) Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes and quality standards.
