Associate Manager - EXIM

Role & responsibilities

Advance License & Export Obligation Management

• Apply for and monitor Advance Licenses (AL) and invalidation as per DGFT guidelines.
• Track and ensure timely fulfillment of export obligations under AL.
• Represent cases before the Policy Relaxation Committee for AL-related matters.

EPCG License Management

• Apply for, open, and track EPCG Licenses, ensuring compliance with export obligations.
• Manage and coordinate the closure of EPCG licenses by tracking necessary documents (Shipping Bills, BRCs, etc.).
• Ensure timely submission of Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC) from DGFT.

Export Incentive Application & Compliance

• Apply for and track RODTEP, ROSCTL, Duty Drawback (DBK), and other export incentives.
• Ensure timely realization of export incentives through proper documentation and follow-ups.
• Generate and maintain MIS reports on open AL, export incentives, and compliance status.

Import Permissions & Bond Closures

• Apply for and track import permissions, ensuring adherence to customs regulations.
• Monitor and handle customs alerts for any discrepancies or compliance issues.
• Process bond closures post-receipt of EODC from DGFT.

SAP & Data Management

• Update and maintain export schemes for products in the SAP Master Data.
• Track export incentives, import inventory, and compliance obligations using SAP/ERP systems.
• Collaborate with finance, compliance, and EXIM teams for accurate reporting and process optimization.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of DGFT regulations, Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), EPCG, AL, and export incentives.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, import procedures, and duty exemption schemes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems for export-incentive tracking and license management.
• Expertise in export documentation, including BRCs, shipping bills, EODC, and customs records.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external teams
• Detail-oriented.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 - 10 years of experience in EXIM operations, trade compliance, and export incentives management.
• Hands-on experience with Advance License (AL), EPCG, and other DGFT-related processes.
• Practical knowledge of export incentives like RODTEP, ROSCTL, Duty Drawback (DBK), and their realization.
• Experience in handling SAP/ERP systems for export documentation, license tracking, and inventory management.
• Exposure to customs regulations, import permissions, bond closures, and compliance monitoring.
• Proven experience in policy relaxation applications and representation before regulatory authorities.
• MIS & Reporting expertise for tracking open licenses, export obligations, and payments.
