Assistant Professor - Law

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Instruction:
  
• Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials in undergraduate and graduate-level law courses.
• Design and develop engaging course materials, including syllabi, reading lists, and assessments.
• Stay updated with the latest legal developments and incorporate them into the curriculum.
• Research and Scholarship:
  
• Conduct original research in the field of law, leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at academic conferences.
• Contribute to the departments research initiatives, participate in academic seminars, and collaborate with colleagues on research projects.
• Student Mentorship and Support:
  
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including supervising research projects, internships, and theses.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Service to the University:
  
• Participate in faculty meetings, departmental committees, and university-wide initiatives.
• Engage in community outreach or professional activities related to the legal profession.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
  
• JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Ph.D. in Law or LL.M. (Master of Laws) preferred.
• Candidates with NET (National Eligibility Test) qualification will be given preference (if applicable).
• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at a higher education institution or 3 years of professional experience as a practicing attorney or legal consultant.
• Strong track record of academic or professional research in law (publication record is an advantage).
