Job Description

The orchids school is looking for Pre-Primary Assistant Teacher to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
A Pre-Primary Assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to the lead teacher in a pre-primary or early childhood education setting
This role is primarily focused on creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, fostering their development and growth through various activities and interactions
Responsibilities:Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in preparing and organizing the classroom for daily activities, ensuring a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for children
Curriculum Implementation: Support the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans designed to promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children
Activity Planning: Assist in planning and conducting various educational and recreational activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, music, games, and outdoor play, to stimulate children's creativity and learning
Supervision: Monitor and supervise children during class hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Provide assistance with tasks like toileting, handwashing, and snacks
Individualized Attention: Work with children individually or in small groups to provide additional support, attention, and instruction based on their specific needs and developmental levels
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns that may arise
Behavior Management: Assist in maintaining discipline and managing behavior using positive reinforcement and appropriate redirection techniques, ensuring a respectful and harmonious classroom atmosphere
Record Keeping: Help in maintaining records of attendance, progress reports, and other relevant documentation related to each child's development
Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety protocols, including maintaining cleanliness, sanitization, and ensuring the well-being of children in the classroom
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and child development
