Asst. Manager/ Manager-Custom Clearance Sea Import

Role & responsibilities

• Process a clear understanding of the Sea Import Process.
• Well versed in Handling external /internal licensing process.
• Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.
• Filing of all types of documents in EDI system (Sea Import )
• Coordinating with customer for shipment.
• Coordinating with Shipping line / client / vendors for shipment.
• Preparation of Various MIS reports and update to client on Daily basis.
• Coordination and solve query of Overseas office and customer.
• All type of Documentation related to Sea Import
• Overall Monitoring Custom clearance & Freight Forwarding.
• Coordinating with Operation and Field staff for issuance of Delivery order.
• Coordinating with our vendors for custom clearance timely and effective transportation facility to client.
• Provide strategic and tactical leadership for commercial business to Customer Satisfaction.
• Interacting with the clients /handling Haz /Non Haz / Food / & Nomination Shipment /Tracking cargo.
• Practical knowledge about all CFS & Customs works /operation.
• Excellent Negotiating Skill with Carrier/ Client and all our vendors.
• Giving DDU/DDP/DAP rate to overseas agent.
• Co operation with our Junior staff and guide to them time to time for smoothly handling of all shipments.

Preferred candidate profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sound Knowledge of Import Logistics, Freight Forwarding and Custom Clearance Operation & Documentation.
• Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel & Internet.
• Budget Management.
• Labour Analysis.
• Facility co - ordination.
• Invoice Development .
• Expense Control.
• Material Needs Analysis.
• Inventory Tracking .
• Having Knowledge and awareness of Notification /Circulars /Single Window system and also Having knowledge about various department which are related with Customs like DGFT /ADC/P&Q /FSSAI/A&Q etc.
• Having knowledge of Customs Tariff and classifications.
