Assistant Manager- Direct Taxation

Role & responsibilities

• Tax compliances (including return preparation/ other filings): Ensure that monthly/ quarterly/ annual tax compliances are prepared/filed on time.

• Responding to authorities: Handle notices issued under different sections of direct tax laws seeking information from the company and responding to tax authorities. This may require representing the company before the tax authorities.

• Revenue audits and managing litigations: Assist in revenue audits / tax litigations (direct tax and transfer pricing), including providing information in relation to these matters.

• Function Building: Prepare documentation, policies, and schedules, to enhance Companys internal tax governance.

• Business Partnering: Work with businesses teams to understand business initiatives, assess tax implications, and make recommendations to proactively address tax issues. Provide tax input and guide on agreements drafting, and ensure implementation of specific clauses.

• Knowledge: Stay on top of tax law amendments, evaluate their impact and update internal stakeholders. Keep the stakeholders aware of the implications of various direct and indirect tax laws on business decisions.

• Good interpretation skills of tax laws, rules and procedures
• Data analysis for meaningful results and tax submissions
• Thorough experience of extracting data from Oracle/SAP
• Excellent ppt and excel skills
• Project Management skills
