Job Requirements:

As a DevOps Engineer you will participate in the complete development process from requirements to acceptance. Your tasks will include creating, maintaining, and optimizing software build systems and development tools; defining and deploying operating systems images (Windows and Ubuntu) for embedded hardware with real-time components; identifying improvements to the software development environment and then researching and implementing new approaches to execute those improvements.

You will be part of a small team of experienced engineers that work closely with our software development and IT teams across multiple business lines and sites, helping unify development processes across the organization and improving performance and efficiency. You will research new techniques, methods, and tools for improving the software development environment and make recommendations with respect to their usage.

Imaging: Intel vPRO/AMT, Sysprep, DISM, FoG
Virtualization/Containerization: Docker, Virtual Box, RTS Hypervisor
Automation: Puppet, Bamboo.
Development Tools: Git/Bitbucket, Visual Studio, QtCreator, Bamboo, IncrediBuild, PVS-Studio, Bullseye, InnoSetup
Languages: Python, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Make, Cmake, shell scripting
Databases: PostGres, MySQL
Organizational tools: JIRA, Confluence

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Creating unattended installation images for embedded hardware (Windows Embedded/IoT and Ubuntu)
• Developing and maintaining software builds in Bamboo
• Supporting change and troubleshooting requests from software developers
• Identifying and automating manual processes to improve efficiency
• Coordinating Engineering requirements with IT resources, and vice versa

Your knowledge and experience

• 2-10 years of software coding experience
• A Bachelors degree or higher is preferred
• Experience with Windows image deployment highly preferred
• Administrative experience with Atlassian toolchain (Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence) a plus
