AI Research Scientist (Computer Vision Engineer For Medical Image )

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Computer Vision Engineer for Medical Image Analysis to join our team at AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad. In this role, you will focus on developing advanced computer vision models for medical image recognition, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment planning for various medical conditions and AI assisted surgery. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes by enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of medical imaging analyses.

*****Key Responsibilities:*****

- Design, implement, and maintain Machine Learning models specifically tailored for the analysis of medical imaging data.

- Collaborate with medical professionals to understand diagnostic requirements and integrate clinical insights into AI model development.

- Manage datasets, including data collection, preprocessing, augmentation, and validation to ensure robust model training and testing.

- Optimize models for high accuracy and efficiency in real-time medical image processing.

- Conduct ongoing testing and iterative improvements of developed models, using both simulated and real-world data.

- Document model development processes and results, ensuring compliance with medical regulatory standards.

- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and medical imaging technology, and propose innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into existing healthcare IT systems and workflows.

******Basic Qualifications:*****

- Bachelor/Masters/PhD degree in computer science, artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

- Strong programming skills in Python or C++ and familiarity with AI, machine learning and computer vision libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, OpenCV, Scikit-image).

- Knowledge of data handling, image processing, and visualization techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

******Preferred Qualifications for senior level positions******

- Proven experience in designing and implementing computer vision models such as convolutional neural networks, diffusion models, and vision transformers.

- Have delivered projects in a related field with a focus on AI and medical image analysis.

- Experience with medical image libraries (e.g.: ITK, VTK, MONAI, 3d-Slicer)

- Publications in top conferences (e.g.: MICCAI, IPMI, IPCAI, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV)
