System Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of computer systems and servers. Your role will involve monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring maximum uptime for critical systems. This position requires close collaboration with other IT professionals to maintain and enhance the organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and servers.
• Monitor system performance to ensure availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network infrastructure issues.
• Ensure system security and data protection.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users.
• Collaborate with IT professionals to implement new technologies and systems.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades.
• Maintain system documentation and ensure accuracy of records.
• Manage firewalls, access points, and endpoint security solutions.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and security standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, CCNA, or CompTIA A+/A++.
• Experience with cloud computing technologies like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
