Legal Associate-Patents & IPs

Job Description:

• Performing thorough prior art searches to assess patentability of inventions.
• Drafting detailed patent applications, including claims, specifications, and summaries.
• Filing patent applications with relevant patent offices.
• Responding to office actions from patent examiners, including arguments and amendments to claims.
• Monitoring patent application status and deadlines.
• Communicating with clients to understand their technology and intellectual property needs.
• Advising clients on patent strategy and potential protection options.
• Preparing and presenting reports on patent status and analysis.
• Researching relevant intellectual property laws and case precedents.
• Analyzing complex technical information to identify key patentable aspects of inventions.
• Providing legal opinions on patentability and infringement issues.
• Maintaining accurate client files and documentation.
• Tracking deadlines and managing project timelines.
• Preparing necessary legal documents and forms.
• Requirements
• Degree in Law with a strong understanding of Patents & Intellectual property law.
• Technical background in engineering field is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts in legal terms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess patentability and navigate legal challenges.
• Detail-oriented with high attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Computer knowledge is mandatory

Fluency in Malayalam, English & Hindi
