SAP Project Manager

The Project Manager will oversee assigned projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and within scope. The role involves engaging with business stakeholders, documenting requirements, preparing project estimates, coordinating with consultants, overseeing user acceptance testing, and ensuring a smooth handover to the support team. The Project Manager will also provide handhold support post-project completion. Familiarity with SAP modules, specifically SAP SD or SAP PP, proficiency in using APIs, and handling application tickets within SLA to resolve business issues are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

▪ Ensure timely delivery of projects within the agreed cost and scope.

▪ Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.

▪ Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.

▪ Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

2. Business Engagement:

▪ Engage with business stakeholders for requirement gathering.

▪ Document business requirements and prepare detailed business requirement documentation.

▪ Prepare project estimates and timelines.

▪ Develop functional specifications in collaboration with stakeholders and consultants.

3. Coordination and Execution:

▪ Coordinate with ABAP team/Functional consultants to ensure on time development/configuration alignment and progress.

▪ Facilitate and oversee business User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

▪ Ensure projects are moved to live environments efficiently and effectively.

4. Post-Project Support:

▪ Provide handhold support for completed projects.

▪ Address and resolve any issues that arise during the support period.

▪ Ensure knowledge transfer and smooth transition of the project to the support team.

5. Project Handover:

▪ Prepare and document all necessary handover materials.

▪ Conduct handover meetings with the support team.

▪ Ensure the support team is fully briefed on project details, deliverables, and potential issues.

6. SAP Module Expertise:

▪ Demonstrate proficiency in at least one SAP module, either SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) or SAP PP (Production Planning).

▪ Apply SAP knowledge to ensure project requirements are met and integrated seamlessly within the system.

▪ Assist in resolving SAP-related issues during project implementation and support phases.

7. Integration using API:

▪ Demonstrate proficiency in using APIs to integrate various systems and facilitate data exchange.

8. Application Ticket Handling:

▪ Manage and resolve application tickets within SLA to ensure business issues are addressed promptly.

▪ Monitor ticket queues and prioritize tickets based on business impact.

▪ Collaborate with relevant teams to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.

▪ Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding ticket status and resolution timelines.

Qualifications:

▪ Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

▪ Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in a Textiles/Garment industry, SAP technology.

Skills:

• Proficiency in at least one SAP module, either SAP SD or SAP PP.
• Proficiency in using APIs for system integration and data exchange.
• Experience in handling application tickets and resolving business issues within SLA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Zoho Projects).
