Job Purpose:
The Regional Sales Manager (EBO) is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to enhance consumer preference, drive sales volumes, and improve the performance of the brand within the region.
The role involves setting and achieving retail targets, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, training and motivating the sales team, conducting market and competitor analysis, and achieving growth in market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies:
- Design and execute region-specific marketing plans to enhance brand awareness and consumer preference.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to ensure promotional activities align with sales goals.
- Leverage consumer insights and market data to develop initiatives that drive foot traffic to EBOs (Exclusive Brand Outlets).
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements to ensure business growth.
Achieve Sales and Retail Targets:
- Derive clear and measurable retail sales targets, focusing on both short-term and long-term goals.
- Work closely with store managers and sales teams to ensure achievement of targets and performance KPIs.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance across all outlets in the region, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Forecast sales volumes and ensure stock levels meet demand, while avoiding overstock situations.
Monitor and Control Collections:
- Ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments from retail partners and customers.
- Set collection targets in collaboration with the finance team, monitor progress, and take corrective action where necessary.
- Address any customer payment issues promptly to minimize financial risks.
- Maintain strong relationships with retail partners to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
Staff Training and Development:
- Conduct regular training sessions for retail staff, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, and brand standards.
- Create a positive work culture by motivating the team to achieve sales goals and maintain high levels of engagement.
- Ensure sales staff are up-to-date with new product offerings, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Develop performance review processes and provide constructive feedback to enhance team capabilities.
Competitor and Market Analysis:
- Monitor competitors in the market and analyze their strategies to stay ahead of market trends.
- Conduct SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis for the region to identify growth opportunities.
- Collect and evaluate data on customer preferences, market share, and competitor activity to formulate strategic plans.
- Regularly report market trends, competitor moves, and performance metrics to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Achieving Market Share Goals:
- Set and manage market share growth targets for the region, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business goals.
- Identify potential new locations for EBOs to expand market presence and increase brand visibility.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the retail environment to secure optimal positioning for the brand.
- Take proactive steps to retain existing customers while driving new customer acquisition.
Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure operational excellence across all outlets, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and customer service standards.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient distribution of products to EBOs.
- Address operational issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions to business performance.
Reporting and Performance Analysis:
- Provide regular reports on regional sales performance, target achievement, and market trends to upper management.
- Use sales data and analytics to provide insights into the effectiveness of current sales strategies and recommend adjustments.
- Present action plans based on the analysis of sales and market data to improve future sales outcomes.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
- Work closely with the marketing, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of sales and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback from the market on customer preferences and product performance.
- Align with HR and recruitment teams to ensure that retail outlets are adequately staffed with skilled personnel.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
A Master's degree or equivalent is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in retail sales, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Experience in managing retail sales teams, developing marketing strategies, and achieving sales targets.
Demonstrated expertise in market and competitor analysis and strategic planning
