Position Name: Research Specialist - Markets
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

The Research Specialist - Markets will lead the development and management of a portfolio of research studies focused on core market-related research questions. This position provides an opportunity for an experienced researcher to design, lead, and manage various research initiatives, partnerships, and evidence-driven products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and oversee the roadmap for market research initiatives.
• Build and manage a team of Research Fellows.
• Lead and conduct a variety of research studies addressing key market-related questions.
• Communicate critical research findings through publications, conference presentations, and the development of tools, frameworks, and digital public goods.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop policy briefs and communication products that provide strategic insights on market trends, growth, and impact.
• Support fundraising activities alongside the organizations leadership team.

Required Qualifications:

• Self-motivated with the ability to take full ownership of tasks, working independently with minimal supervision.
• At least 3 years of experience leading market research studies, ideally in gig-labor or digital markets. Experience at the intersection of gender and markets is a plus.
• Extensive experience in qualitative research design and analysis, with a preference for social science or anthropological methods.
• Proficiency in statistics and basic quantitative analysis.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in GSuite, R/Python/STATA/Tableau, NVIVO/MaxQDA.
