Responsibilities
Adapt and implement climate-resilient strategies in the healthcare delivery system, including CHIP (Khushi Babys healthcare platform) and immunization programs
Propose and implement climate-adaptive healthcare solutions, with a focus on empowering frontline health workers to mitigate and respond to climate-related health risks.
Identify extreme weather events as predictive factors for zero-dose patients and integrate this data into health planning systems.
Propose, Adapt and implement the approaches that address climate related challenges in the existing healthcare delivery system (and CHIP) including but not limited to immunization.
Capacity-building for climate-adaptive health care
Plan and implement the solutions that provide insights and resources to empower frontline health workers in identifying, mitigating and responding to climate-related health threats.
We can look at extreme weather events as a predictive factor of zero-dose patients
Oversee project activities, including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Work in collaboration with the internal teams (policy, product, and ME etc) to ensure that the required product is developed and deployed effectively, meeting the goal of achieving the highest standards in primary health care delivery system in the state.
Collaborate with government agencies, healthcare officials, health workers, and community members to ensure project success and to align program activities with state health priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders
Work towards creating an interoperable digital health ecosystem at the state/district level
Design, implement and impart training of trainers and ensure the seamless training flow to ultimate users of the digital platform.
Promote a culture of digital literacy and health awareness.
Ensure and oversee comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and technical specifications.
Contribute to the development of strategies for scaling up the project at the state level.
The Climate Health Expert is expected to combine climate science, public health, and data analytics to provide actionable insights. This involves forecasting risks, analyzing trends, identifying vulnerable populations, and proposing cost-effective, data-driven solutions to build climate-resilient healthcare systems.
Participate in strategic discussion with higher level govt. officials and disseminate the project/program success to relevant stakeholders including govt.
What we require:
A masters degree in healthcare, public policy, environmental health or a related discipline
6-7 years of experience in Public Health with at least 2 years experience working on climate health
Proven experience in managing and implementing healthcare projects, particularly in the context of healthcare digitization with consideration of climate health challenges.
Strong knowledge of Indias healthcare system and policies, including comprehensive primary healthcare and familiarity with the ABDM framework, and climate health initiatives.
Exceptional project management and communication skills.
A deep understanding of geographical, environmental and climate related challenges on public health.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Proficient in digital health, demonstrating a strong understanding of emerging technologies, data analytics, and innovative solutions within the healthcare sector
proficiency in analytical tools such as R, ArcGIS/QGIS/ Remote sensing tool / Data visualization tools, Tabulo, Power BI etc.
Proficiency in English and Hindi languages.
