Job Description
- Education: BSc/ GNM - Nursing or Diploma in OT
- Experience: Min 15 years
- Operational Management
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily OT schedules to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure timely availability of surgical instruments, consumables, and equipment.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the sterile environment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Manage the smooth flow of patients into and out of the OT, ensuring minimal delays in surgical procedures.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and infection control protocols as per hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor and audit compliance with OT policies, risk management, and quality assurance programs.
- Inventory & Equipment Management
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of OT equipment and surgical instruments.
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and consumables, ensuring timely procurement and stock control.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising patient care and safety.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of OT procedures, patient information, and resource utilization.
- Prepare reports on OT performance, efficiency, and incident logs for senior management.
- Collaborate with hospital administration for audits, quality inspections, and accreditation processes.
- Patient Care & Support
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety, dignity, and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to address patient needs, concerns, and preferences.
- Handle patient complaints or grievances related to OT services.
