AWS & Kubernetes Engineer

Role & responsibilities

AWS Cloud Engineer:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2 support on Linux servers hosted on AWS infrastructure.
• Managing Kubernetes (EKS) Cluster configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
• Performance tuning and storage optimization.
• Licensing knowledge and good understanding of patch and package management.
• Incident and Change management, Health, and performance Monitoring
• Design, build and configure AWS Services to meet business process and application requirements.
• Execution and documentation of infrastructure changes and preparing work instructions.

Technical Experience:

• Experience in regular operating system Patching and vulnerability remediations.
• Experience in Windows / Linux System hardening and Non-Compliance remediation.
• Clustering knowledge Kubernetes (EKS).
• Hands on experience on AWS: EC2, EBS, SG, VPC, S3, ASG, ELB, Route53, KMS, EKS (Kubernetes), Lambda, Elasticache, CloudWatch, CloudFormation Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge on Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins, scripting language like Groovy, Shell.

Kubernetes Engineer:

Responsibilities

• Deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
• Optimizing Kubernetes clusters for performance and scalability.
• Monitoring Kubernetes clusters and ensuring high availability.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Collaborating with software developers and DevOps engineers to optimize application performance in Kubernetes environment.
• Implementing security measures to protect Kubernetes infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• Proven experience working with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Python, or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
