Snowflake Admin/Architect (4-10 yrs)

We are looking for a Snowflake Architect who will empower organization digital transformation through enterprise data enablement and democratization. A passionate professional with a strong focus on solutions solving critical business problems using Data as a key asset of Enterprise and helping it to make data-driven business decisions.

The Snowflake Architect will own technical customer engagement including guidance on project implementation, architectural design sessions and Proof of Concepts. This role will be responsible for driving customer initiatives, leveraging data services to solve data challenges faced by enterprise customers.

Responsibilities :

1. Act as Data domain expert for Snowflake Data Warehouse in a collaborative environment (between teams as well as with the vendor) to provide understanding of data management best practices, patterns and roadmap for their implementation

2. Enhance and Enforce current Snowflake Security Model (access and functional roles, masking and password policies, service and user accounts)

3. Design Data Flows and take Architectural decisions for new and existing features and implementation aligning with all Stakeholders and taking into account ROI

4. Support implementation of new Data Warehouses and Data Marts plus enhance existing ones

5. Snowflake Cost Management and Resource Monitoring Implementation

6. Integrations between Snowflake and various platforms (internal and external) like ServiceNow, SalesForce, SuccessFactors, DBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL), S3 buckets, SFTPs, etc.

7. Application of proper Data Governance - Data Classification, Single Source of Truth, Reference Data, Master Data and Data Quality

8. Technical documentation

9. Upskill in Snowflake and provide learning guidance to existing team members

Required Skills :

1. 10+ years of experience implementing Data Management Solutions, Customer Data Platforms and migrations to Cloud

2. Design and Implement complex Orchestration and ETL/ELT solutions (incremental loads, event-based triggering etc.), experience with batch and streaming ingestions

3. Expertise in Snowflake concepts like setting up Resource monitors, scalable virtual warehouse, SQL performance tuning, zero copy clone, time travel, Data Sharing, Data Replication and Failover, SnowPipe, SnowSQL and automation

4. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake Security model : Single Sign on, RBAC, Type of accounts, Accounts policies, Provisioning, Whitelisting

5. Experience in handling structured, semi-structured (JSON, XML) and unstructured data, columnar format like PARQUET and open-table formats (Delta, Iceberg)

6. Data Warehouse Modelling and Medallion Architecture knowledge

7. Experience with Public Cloud implementation and concepts (AWS preferably) - cloud storage, networking, virtual machines, serverless technologies, access, data ingestion tools

8. Data Governance and Master Data Management

9. Programming skills in SQL and Python

10. CICD knowledge

11. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
