Job Description for Sales Positions FMCG (Spices & Sauces)
1. Entry-Level: Sales Executive (HORECA & Distribution Sales)
Experience: 2- 4 years
Job Summary:
The Sales Executive will focus on building and maintaining relationships with HORECA clients
and distributors, driving sales, and expanding the reach of our Spices & Sauces across assigned
territories. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a passion for sales and customer
engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and onboard new HORECA clients and distributors in the assigned territory.
2. Execute sales plans to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
3. Conduct regular visits to outlets, ensuring product placement and customer
satisfaction.
4. Support promotional activities and marketing initiatives in the field.
5. Collect and analyze market feedback on products and competitors.
6. Ensure timely order processing and coordination with the supply chain for smooth
deliveries.
7. Maintain records of sales and customer interactions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in any field (preferably Business or Marketing).
• 2–4 years of experience in FMCG sales (HORECA/Distribution preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office tools.
2. Middle Management: Area Sales Manager (HORECA & Distribution Sales)
Experience: 4 - 10 years
Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager will manage sales operations within a specific region, oversee a team of
Sales Executives, and develop strategies to achieve regional sales goals. This role requires
leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of the HORECA and Distribution Sales model.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet assigned targets.
2. Lead, mentor, and monitor a team of Sales Executives.
3. Build strong relationships with key HORECA clients and distributors, resolving their
issues and ensuring retention.
4. Monitor and analyze sales performance in the region, identifying gaps and opportunities
for improvement.
5. Ensure seamless implementation of promotional campaigns and activities within the
region.
6. Collaborate with the supply chain team for timely delivery and inventory management.
7. Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 4–10 years of experience in FMCG sales, with exposure to HORECA and Distribution
Sales.
• Proven track record of managing sales teams and achieving targets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
3. Senior Management: Regional Sales Manager (HORECA & Distribution Sales)
Experience: 10-18 years
Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager will oversee sales operations for multiple regions, drive strategic
initiatives, and lead the overall sales efforts in HORECA and Distribution Sales. This position
demands a seasoned leader with a vision to grow market share and revenue while ensuring
operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and implement sales strategies for assigned regions to achieve business
objectives.
2. Lead and manage a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives, ensuring
alignment with company goals.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with high-value HORECA clients and distributors.
4. Analyse market trends, competition, and customer feedback to identify growth
opportunities.
5. Drive the implementation of KPIs, KRAs, and performance metrics across the sales
team.
6. Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to enhance
customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
7. Ensure adherence to budget, compliance, and organizational policies.
8. Present regional sales performance and forecasts to senior leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10-18 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a proven track record in HORECA and
Distribution Sales.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of FMCG market dynamics and customer behavior.
• Proficiency in data analysis and CRM tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work under tight deadlines.
