Area Sales Manager - FMCG - GT - DELHI

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager - General Trade (ASM-GT) For Upper North region - Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, J&K join our team. The ASM-GT will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth within their assigned territory. This role requires a deep understanding of the local market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales and distribution.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
• Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
• Monitor and analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
• Conduct regular market visits to ensure effective execution of sales strategies and merchandising activities.
• Identify new business opportunities and areas for growth within the territory.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
• Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop promotional activities and product launches.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager or similar role in the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of General Trade sales channels and distribution networks.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to analyse market data and sales metrics to drive decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
