Job Description

Position Overview:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Dealer Sales will be responsible for managing and expanding the dealer network for Franke-Faber Appliances within their assigned region. This includes driving sales, ensuring proper product distribution, and fostering strong relationships with dealers to meet or exceed sales targets. The ASM will be instrumental in executing sales strategies, monitoring market trends, and implementing initiatives to increase brand presence and market share for Franke-Faber Appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dealer Network Development & Management:

  • Build and manage a network of dealers and distributors within the assigned area.
  • Establish new dealer relationships, manage existing accounts, and optimize dealer performance.
  • Monitor dealer health and profitability to ensure sustainable growth and success.

2. Sales Growth & Target Achievement:

  • Drive sales targets for the dealer network, ensuring the region meets or exceeds sales quotas.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and other stakeholders to strategize and implement sales initiatives.
  • Execute regional sales plans, promotional activities, and other brand-specific campaigns to boost sales.

3. Relationship Management:

  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key dealers and decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular dealer meetings, provide necessary product training, and offer ongoing support to ensure strong dealer satisfaction.
  • Address dealer concerns and resolve any issues related to products, delivery, or pricing.

4. Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track competitor activities and market trends in the region to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to the management team.
  • Utilize market intelligence to drive sales strategies and improve product offerings.

5. Product Promotion & Brand Visibility:

  • Implement promotional campaigns and advertising activities to increase brand awareness in the region.
  • Ensure proper product placement and visibility in dealer showrooms and retail spaces.
  • Ensure that dealers are fully equipped with necessary sales and marketing materials.

6. Inventory & Order Management:

  • Monitor stock levels at the dealer locations and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Ensure optimal order volumes and maintain proper inventory at dealer locations to prevent stockouts.

7. Training & Development:

  • Conduct regular product training sessions for dealers and their sales teams to ensure a deep understanding of Franke-Faber Appliances products and features.
  • Help dealers in building their sales strategies and developing the necessary skills to promote the brand effectively.

8. Customer Feedback & Improvement:

  • Collect feedback from dealers regarding customer preferences, product issues, and market demands.
  • Work with the product development team to help address any product-related concerns or opportunities for improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of regional sales targets and quotas.
  • Growth in the dealer network and market share.
  • Dealer satisfaction and relationship strength.
  • Timeliness and accuracy in reporting sales data.
  • Successful execution of promotional activities and campaigns.
  • Inventory management and stock optimization at dealer locations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification (MBA) is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in dealer sales management, preferably in the home appliances, consumer goods, or related industries.
    • Prior experience in managing a dealer network and achieving sales targets.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of the appliance industry and product offerings, particularly in kitchen appliances.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Key Competencies:
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Results-driven with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Good understanding of market trends and competition.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse and solve problems quickly.
