Assistant Architect

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Architect to join our team at EDMAC. The assistant architect support architectural teams to modify architectural designs and ensure the plans meet safety standards. Here are the common responsibilities of assistant architects:

In this role you will be responsible for: -

1. Knowledge of bye laws, Fire norms, Environmental norms

2. Must worked in Government Medical Hospital projects

3. Understanding and coordination of Structure and MEP drawings with architecture

4. Proficient in making working drawings, GFC drawings

5. Drawing management and tender documentation

6. Designing- Assistant architects help to design the blueprints of projects under the supervision of architects. After gaining experience, the assistant architects can prepare designs or modify designs as instructed with little or no supervision.

7. Record Management- The designs and drawings generated are used throughout the construction process. Therefore, the blueprints designed are kept well for reference. Assistant architects help the architect to document all necessary information and keep them safe.

8. Brief Analysis- Assistant architects review project briefs to analyse the site and establish the requirements of clients. For example, the assistant's survey found similar buildings in the city and researched basic architectural details like fire strategies.

9. Quality assurance- Assistant architects assess if projects and generated designs follow and meet safety standards, if corrections are required, the assistant architects brief the architect team about the errors, rectify them, and explain what is needed by the regulatory body.

10. Reporting to authorities- Before construction designs are implemented, the regulatory body has approved the plan. The assistant architects present the design documents for approval and keep the authorities updated about architectural layout modifications and inform the authority about completing the projects.
