Head - Supply Chain Management (FMCG Industry)
Role Overview:
- The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for Procurement, Planning, Order Processing, Logistics, and Production, ensuring an optimized supply chain strategy that supports business objectives.
- The role demands strong inventory management, vendor management, logistics optimization, and production strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement an effective end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
- Support the global demand and supply planning process within the global S&OP cycle.
- Ensure cost-effective sourcing, procurement, inventory control, and logistics management.
- Drive supply chain agility by leveraging best practices such as Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma.
- Lead initiatives for logistics optimization, including domestic and global sourcing.
- Ensure a robust SAP-driven supply chain process for operational efficiency (SAP upgradation will happen in the near future)
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Align strategy with global S&OP and Replenishment teams
- Source and manage vendors, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
- Establish and optimize global sourcing strategies for raw materials and components from India in alignment with the global procurement strategy.
- Negotiate contracts, build strong vendor relationships, and manage supplier risks.
Inventory & Planning:
- Lead inventory management to minimize waste while ensuring on-time availability of materials.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with market demand.
- Integrate local functions into the global S&OP process to reduce stockouts and overstock situations.
Production Strategy & Efficiency:
- Guide the production function strategically to drive efficiency and output quality.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align supply chain processes with production needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production workflows.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- MBA (Operations / Supply Chain Management) from a reputed institution (Full-time).
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, and planning.
- Experience in FMCG .
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in Inventory Management, Logistics Optimization, and Vendor Management.
- Strong sourcing skills, particularly in managing global procurement from India.
- Hands-on experience in SAP for supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments and global stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to drive operational efficiency in production.
