Shift Engineer - Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Planning:
• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans for utilities.
• Organize preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Plan and maintain the Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) calendar, including yearly maintenance schedules for breakers and equipment.
2. Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and submit daily MIS (Management Information System) reports.
• Draft equipment standards, preventive maintenance (PM) checklists, and daily inspection sheets.
• Generate analysis reports to monitor equipment progress and efficiency.
3. Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness:
• Coordinate fire drills, including Hadder line, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and emergency evacuation for building staff.
4. Operations Management:
• Collaborate with supporting departments to minimize breakdowns and reduce fuel and power consumption.
• Participate in operational meetings to align maintenance with organizational goals.
5. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
• Perform troubleshooting, breakdown, preventive, and shutdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Address instrumentation issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption.
6. Spare Parts Management:
• Plan and manage the procurement of spare parts and maintain inventory levels to avoid delays.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of utility maintenance, preventive maintenance, and breakdown management.
• Experience with fire safety systems and emergency preparedness.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining maintenance schedules and technical documentation.
• Analytical skills for equipment efficiency and progress tracking.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-departmental coordination.
• Proficiency in tools and systems used for maintenance planning and reporting.
