This position is responsible to lead the company initiative to move towards lean production environment. Acts as a central resource for lean manufacturing and assists with day-to-day production support and improvements.
Conduct Time Studies and drive cycle/process time reduction.
Monitors operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.
Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement.
Designs efficient production processes and workflows.
Ensures that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards and lead time.
Define proper work methods for tasks. Improve the efficiency of each production process.
Evaluate employees tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity.
Perform root cause analysis to improve poor performing processes
Reduces waste (VSM) and addresses production issues
Optimize shop manufacturing processes to reach product quality, efficiency and process repeatability.
Execute LEAN manufacturing techniques and design.
Ensure Human Factors Engineering is utilized in all process Ergonomic production
Optimize workflow and cell designs and introduce cost-effective automation for productivity and safety advantages.
Audit defined processes and procedures to ensure that they are being followed
Track and execute cost reduction through product continuous improvement
Communicate Lean group s philosophy, vision and expectations.
Develop and sustain employees training and development on lean concepts.
Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas.
Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State through process optimization, utilizing simulation tools.
Understanding of new and relevant technologies and systems, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, industry trends, and best practices
Profile
Bachelor s degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years with proven similar experience or Lean Manufacturing initiatives in production is preferred.
Work experience with implementation of adaptable robotics/automation.
