The Role : Market Research Specialist
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide insights on global markets, economic drivers, market trends, competition analysis, and market strategy.
- Build strong relationships with the Executive Leadership Team and become a trusted advisor.
- Deliver insights on geographic-specific sector performance, technology-specific studies, and market sizing.
- Identify addressable markets and geographic/technology-specific targets.
- Support growth targets with proactive research and insights.
- Assist in identifying goal sheet targets and customer profiling.
- Provide prospecting insights and create competition battle cards.
- Share insights on market trends, customers' key interests, and value propositions.
- Aid in prospecting efforts.
- Conduct fundamental research on M&A targets and build business cases.
- Identify synergies between entities for corporate development strategies.
- Assist with sales operations analytics and analyst/advisory operations.
- Support corporate change management exercises.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research using primary and secondary data collection methods.
- Perform market sizing, segmentation, competitive analysis, and strategic frameworks like SWOT, TOWS, and PEST.
- Create clear, concise, and impactful presentations to communicate findings and conclusions effectively.
- Utilize advanced tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, and SharePoint for analysis and visualization.
- Ensure accuracy and thorough documentation of research data.
- Identify factors affecting the business and recommend actionable solutions.
- Display analytical thinking and produce data-driven decisions for complex problems.
- Seek and act on feedback to enhance performance and processes.
- Maintain high energy and prioritize tasks to meet demanding deadlines.
Skills Required :
- Strong understanding of the Information Technology (IT) business and IT services market.
- Experience in software testing/quality assurance (preferred).
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Expertise in primary and secondary data collection techniques.
- Competence in market sizing, segmentation, and competitive analysis.
- Ability to conduct strategic analyses like SWOT, TOWS, and PEST.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Strong attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy and documentation.
- Ability to evaluate and solve complex problems.
- Link research findings to actionable business strategies.
- Identify factors that can positively or negatively impact the business.
- Experience in consulting executive and senior leadership teams.
- Skilled in producing clear, concise, and impactful presentations.
- Knowledge of business development, win theme identification, and articulating key value propositions.
- Expertise in identifying and targeting prospects for market expansion.
- Experience in organizational change management processes.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
