About the role

As a TM1 Admin , you will be responsible for developing and maintaining IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) solution capabilities. This includes designing and implementing data models, developing complex business rules, creating reports and dashboards, and troubleshooting system issues. Responsibilities include ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and accuracy of financial data and reporting processes within the organization. Optimize financial planning and analysis activities, provide strategic insights to senior management, and support informed decision-making through effective utilization and enhancement of the IBM Planning Analytics platform. Additionally, collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in FP&A Systems and Processes.

You will also:

• Design, develop and maintain TM1 models, cubes, dimensions, and rules to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Ensure financial modules are working effectively and efficiently, and that proper security is in place.
• Leverage strong background in finance to enhance and streamline financial forecasting and analysis processes.
• Utilize Planning Analytics Workspace to develop interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports, enabling stakeholders to access and analyze financial data efficiently.
• Further development of the databases by adding further requirements, changes, master data, processes, rules, etc. including extensive testing.
• Technical input to improve BI processes and architecture as well as the application landscape.
• Collaborate with stakeholders & product vendors to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of modifications into the production environment.
• Partner with IT and Product Vendor to perform periodic updates and system enhancements to ensure its efficiency and reliability.
• Integrate data from various sources into TM1 for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the system.
• Assist to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including technical specifications, user guides, and system architecture diagrams.
• Provide training and support to end-users on TM1 functionalities and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.
• Recommend and implement enhancements to optimize TM1 utilization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of TM1 configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay up to date with TM1 best practices, industry trends, and advancements in FP&A technology.
• Proactive introduction of ideas for continuous system and process improvement.

• Competencies

  • Overall 8+ years of experience where 5+ years of experience working with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform including maintaining, development, reporting, and business process optimization is a mandatory.
  • Understanding of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform including Architect and Web, Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX) and how to use them to build out planning models, reporting, and other end user applications.
  • Ability to configure and customize TM1 to align with organizational processes.
  • Deep understanding of IBM Planning Analytics solutions (TM1), development principles and practical usage in the finance area.
  • Ability to support solutions based on business requirements.
  • Profound conceptual thinking and solid project managing skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, conflict/resolution management, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable to work self-reliant and team oriented.
  • Ability to build, guide, coach and sustain a team of TM1/IBM Analytics experts/resources.
  • Any Certification related to IBM analytics - TM1 is a strong plus.
  • Experience with SQL and DWH is a strong plus.
  Knowledge on Sage Intacct application is a plus
