Key skills for the job
Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled developer with expertise in digital signal processing to design, develop, and implement an optimized digital filter in C. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in algorithm development, digital filter design, and embedded systems, with experience in creating efficient and high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement an optimized digital filter algorithm in C to meet the specified requirements.
- Develop the algorithm to handle signal ranges from 0.25 Hz to 7 MHz.
- Ensure the frequency response achieves zero outside the specified variable cutoff frequency during each epoch or loop execution.
- Create a solution without relying on external or proprietary library functions.
- Maintain optimal cycle and floating-point accuracy for real-time applications.
Key Features to Implement :
Low-Pass Filter Design :
- Achieve near-unity gain in the passband.
- Ensure the stopband gain is close to zero.
Band-Pass Filter :
- Initially implement a Butterworth filter up to the 10th order.
- Ensure near-unity gain in the passband and stopband gain close to zero.
Qualifications :
- BE/BTech or ME/MTech
- Strong proficiency in C programming, especially in algorithm development for digital signal processing.
- Experience with digital filter design, including low-pass and band-pass filters.
- Familiarity with Butterworth filters design and implementation.
- Expertise in optimizing code for cycle and floating-point accuracy.
- Ability to work independently without external libraries.
Preferred Skills :
- Prior minimum 2 years' experience in real-time signal processing applications.
- Understanding of frequency domain transforms (e.g., FFT, wavelets).
- Experience with embedded systems or DSP platforms.
