Google Cloud Engineer - OpenShift (6-8 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Maintain and deploy Spring Boot and Node.js microservices on Kubernetes (GKE) and OpenShift.

- Utilize Terraform and Helm charts to manage and deploy infrastructure.

- Implement and manage service mesh technologies like Istio.

- Automate integrations through Ansible scripts for QA, Regression, and Production environments.

- Containerize applications (Java Spring Boot, Node.js) using Docker.

- Develop and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines using Extended Shared Libraries and Groovy to automate the build and deployment process of microservices.

- Manage Kubernetes and OpenShift components (Controllers, Schedulers, PVs/PVCs, Deployments, Services, Pods, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Labels/Selectors, Ingress, Autoscaling, Stateful Sets, CronJobs, Resource Quotas, BuildConfigs, RBAC).

- Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies using Jenkins and configuration management tools (Ansible/Chef/Puppet).

- Perform GKE and OpenShift cluster upgrades.

- Migrate on-prem legacy applications to Kubernetes (GKE) and OpenShift as microservices.

- Manage GCP components (Instance Templates, Instance Groups, Disks/Snapshots, ILB, GCP Buckets, DataFlow, BigQuery, Images, VPC, Cloud DNS, IAM, Service Accounts, Pub/Sub, Container Registry).

- Design the infrastructure architecture for the DevOps platform to onboard new applications.

- Demonstrate experience with Google Cloud Platform on GCE and GKE.

- Manage the full configuration management process using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.

- Integrate HashiCorp Vault with GKE (Kubernetes) and OpenShift for microservice secrets management.

- Ingress Controller Management: Manage Ingress controllers on Kubernetes.

- Utilize Packer to create custom automated build images for Jenkins, MongoDB, MySQL, Apache Drill, and BI Connector.

- Develop and maintain shell and Python scripts.

- Use Terraform and Google Deployment Manager (Jinja2 templates) to provision GCE instances.

- Experience in migrating OpenShift from 3.6 - 3.9 - 3.11.

- Troubleshoot applications, perform performance tuning, and implement autoscaling and disaster recovery plans.

- Decouple environment properties from applications in Kubernetes (GKE) and OpenShift.

- Automate build and configuration processes using tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Ansible.

- Implement and manage logging and monitoring tools (Cavission, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk, Stackdriver).

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 6+ years of relevant IT experience in SRE, Senior Cloud Engineer, System Admin, or Software Developer roles.

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

- Proven experience with the technologies listed in the responsibilities section
