Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to design, implement, and manage OCI resources across a wide range of cloud services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud provisioning, security, cost optimisation, and troubleshooting to ensure the seamless operation of mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Manage OCI Infrastructure: Deploy and manage OCI services, including Compute, Oracle base database, Block Storage, Object Storage, Replication, Backup & Restore, Networking, Public and Private VCNs, Firewalls, Flow logs, Remote Peering, Cloud Guard etc.
• VM Resource Management: Oversee the provisioning and lifecycle of compute / DBCS resources.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Plan and execute regular maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
• Networking and Security - Manage public and private VCNs, security groups, firewall and VPNs
• IAM Security & Access Control: Implement and manage IAM policies, roles, and permissions for secure and granular access control.
• Security & Compliance: Perform OS patching, security updates, and configuration changes to ensure a secure and compliant environment.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use OCI monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Incident & Service Request Management: Handle service requests and incidents within defined TAT.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for streamlined operations and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Linux Administration, networking and cloud tools.
• Proven experience in designing and managing OCI resources.
• Hands-on experience in cloud security, patching, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
