Friction Application Engineer

Job Description 1382 (5-6yr)

• Customer requirement understanding.
• Selection of friction materials based on thermal- and brake calculation for customer projects worldwide.

•Definition of test specification for confirmation of project requirements

•Support of sales in all application-specific questions of friction pairings

•Maintain or initiate product documentation in accordance with KB standards for the existing and new products.

•Support of the improvement process PEP (process role for friction material)

•Support of relationship to the thermal simulation and testing department

•Support in questions of product documentation and homologation

•Support Technical product management for Friction Technologies (brake pads and blocks)

YOUR PROFILE

•Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, chemical, or Physical specialization)

•Minimum 5-6 years professional experience or relevant practical experience in industry

•Experience in Railway Business, testing or simulation of friction behaviour.

•Good MS Office knowledge and wish of programming skills (VBA)

•Business fluent English skills

•Experience in international communication

Willingness to travel internationally.
