Application Developer

To be successful as a Application developer you should have experience with:

Proficient in C# and . NET Framework/Core.

Strong experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) and XAML for UI development.

Solid understanding of WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) for creating and consuming services.

Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and designing modular systems.

Experience working with Redis for caching and distributed systems.

Familiarity with OpenFin for desktop application integration and inter-application communication.

Expertise in Apache Kafka, including message publishing, subscribing, and stream processing.

Strong knowledge of software design patterns (e. g. , MVVM, Dependency Injection).

Experience with Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

Knowledge of Prism or similar frameworks for modular WPF development.

Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Business (good to have but not mandatory) -

• Well versed with the various stages and associated workflows within the Trade Life Cycle.

• Product knowledge - Exchange traded and/or Over-the-counter Derivatives.

• Understanding of Risk management and Finance functions under IB

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
