The Workday Absence Configurator will play a pivotal role on the People Product Management team, partnering with teams across the organization to drive a positive employee experience across Apple. In this position you will:- Create and maintain Absence configuration in Workday, including adding translations as needed.- Perform proactive audits on Absence calculations and prepare mass data loads using Workday EIB templates- Thoroughly test configurations through unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) across teams.- Provide technical advice and solutions as it relates to configuration or integrations by evaluating system workflows and processes - Collaborate with multi-functional cross region partners to develop operational processes to support Apple s policies- Gain alignment between the technology and business strategy by proactive partnering with all levels- Communicate development status regularly, including key milestones, accomplishments, key issues and risks- Adhere to all policies, standards and practices defined by Apple Data Compliance and Security team
The role requires strong technical expertise with Workday Absence as well as strong familiarity with a variety of data analysis tools such as Numbers, Excel or Dataikyu. The following outlines the areas of expertise required to perform the functions of this role:
5+ years of product and technical expertise in Workday Absence, other areas a plus
5+ years of experience with Absence and Business Process Configuration, including adding translations
5+ years experience in performing complex data analysis using Microsoft Excel
3-5+ years of experience gathering requirements, analyzing the details, and designing solutions for complex requirements, including integrations to 3rd party vendors
Active team player with strong collaboration skills to partner cross-functionally across business teams.
Proactively assess new tasks coming to the team via the intake process, quickly assess priority and take appropriate action to resolve or reach out.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and setting customer expectations appropriately.
Influence technology direction of the team to enhance the teams toolset and skills.
Maintain consistent and effective communications globally with partner teams, managers and leadership to ensure visibility to the work being done.
