Job Description

Identify accessibility challenges and provide effective solutions for mobile applications using React Native, while conducting training sessions to educate teams on accessibility best practices within the React Native framework

Act as one of the go-to SMEs on accessibility, WCAG guidelines and code-level remediation solutions for junior accessibility team members; provide regular audit reviews to ensure internal compliance with best practices

Conduct PDF remediation using Adobe Acrobat, identifying and fixing accessibility issues, ensuring documents meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance

Preparing, running and reporting on feedback from user reviews and WCAG Audits

Be an educational resource to product teams, and running office hours

Running multiple projects with different customers

Keeping track of the program status

What You'll Bring to Numerator

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a professional Accessibility specialist and React Native developer capacity

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional Experience Deep technical knowledge of accessibility; ability to provide code-level remediation and lead discussions with developers

Experience in and deep understanding of WCAG checkpoints

Proficient in React Native, with experience in fixing Accessibility bugs and providing solutions and guidance to customers

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Skilled in PDF remediation using Adobe Acrobat, ensuring documents meet WCAG compliance standards

Consulting agency experience and strong customer-facing skills

Self-starter, self-motivated, rolling up your sleeves with a focus on getting things done

Effectively multi task and manage concurrent activities comfortable working in a matrix environment across the organization in a collaborative manner
