Java AWS Lead - Spring Boot Framework (8-10 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java AWS Lead to join our dynamic engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex and scalable applications on the AWS cloud platform.

You will play a critical role in driving technical decisions and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and related technologies.

- Leverage AWS services effectively, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, S3, and CloudWatch.

- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

- Work with the team to define and implement best practices for software development and cloud architecture.

- Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support on technical challenges.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and maintainability.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Java, AWS, and cloud computing technologies.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

- Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team.

- Should be able to explore new AWS services and conduct proof-of-concept (POC) projects.

- Should be able to contribute independently in standalone roles.

Qualifications :

- 8+ years of professional experience in Java development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring, JPA, and RESTful APIs.

- Proven experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, S3, and CloudWatch.

- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with front-end technologies such as React and Node.js.

- Experience with other backend technologies such as Python and Message Queues.

- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.

- Experience with DevOps practices
